It was the time of last February. I had got my hard-earned leave from my employer in London. I was to visit my believed homeland, INDIA.
If you are in Gujarat, if you have time of two days, and if you want to make that time of two days memorable for whole of your life, then do visit Somnath. I had done so.
Seashores are the wealth of our country. You find it in near viscinity, especially you are travelling south of the plains of Ganga and Jamuna rivers. But eh seashore at Somnath is special. The temple of Lord Shiva that stands of a small hilly platform on the seashore is one of the best attractions for the pilgims, too.
I was there alongwith my two friends. This is one of the phographs we have taken during the visit. We can take bath in the sea water, without fear. Though to go more than 50 feet away from the shore is not advisable.
For reaching at Somnath you can have a night train from either Ahmedabad or Vadodara. You would be at the target early in the morning. And don't miss to see the rising sun and the morning scene of the shore.
This is the temple of Lord Shiva. Lacs of pilgrims from allover the country visit this place and offer their pujas and worship.
